I've been getting between 9,000-20,000 GIn for my toys. The lowest GIn we can put on is 2000. Also with GIN we lose a percentage of credits. First 50 credits just for doing it then when it sells I believe 12% in credits of the sale- so it is not worth it to put low GINs.
