Commemorate your Iwo Jima National Memorial visit with this die-struck medallion created by master artisans. Great as a gift to a friend, family member or American history buff, this National Memorial medallion will capture your Iwo Jima Memorial experience in enduring, splash-minted metal.

Located near the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia, the Iwo Jima Memorial commemorates the spirit and resolve of the U.S. Marine Corps and their service during one of the hardest-fought battles of World War II. The iconic 78-foot statue has become a tribute to all marines who have died in combat.

The medallion's obverse shows the iconic image of five marines and one sailor raising the Stars and Stripes over Mount Surirbachi. The reverse displays the text spoken by Admiral Nimitz at the 179th anniversary of the U.S. Marine Corps, "Uncommon Valor was a Common Virtue." Minted in deep relief using a special "splash minting" process, this coin is struck in a brass alloy and finished in antique bronze.

Not even close. The last guy who auctioned one of these - it went for over 100,000 credits. Sorry - I am just letting it run for the full 21 days, and see how it goes at the end.
