Description

The listing, Ground Cherry Seeds ~ 10 Pods! has ended.

These are 10 extra pods I don't need after I won another Listia auction for them, I thought I would share them with other bidders too, who still want them.

Each seed pod contains many seeds!!!!

FROM THE INTERNET: "How to grow ground cherries:
They are easy, easy, easy. Plant a small plant in a sunny spot. Give it plenty of room. In Wisconsin, fruits start to ripen in late July, and continue until frost. I suspect ground cherries will be like dill. You only need to plant it once. Next year volunteers will sprout all over the garden. Right now that sounds appealing to me. I will let you know if I change my mind next year.

A good site to find more info on them is :

HOW TO HARVEST:
Ripe ground cherries fall off the plant and land on the ground. The papery husk keeps it clean. Pick up the yellow ripe fruit. Harvesting will start at about every three days and then you can harvest them on a daily basis.

How to eat them: Make your own garden salsa. Add them to mixed fruit salad. Keep them in a bowl on the counter and snack on them throughout the day. Can be harvested for jam or chutney and even pies.

You will receive ten ground cherries, in the husk. When, you receive them, mash, dry, and get seeds out. Dry the seeds completely, store them in cool dry place until spring. Plant in early spring when danger of frost is past or plant in pot and move outside later. Drought doesn't harm these plants.
