The listing, Antique Dough Bowl- Munising MI- Primitive has ended.
Started in 1877 under the name Freeman in Marquette MI the company moved to Munising in 1911 and changed its name and began marking its wooden wares with the town name. It ceased operations in 1955 so the bowl pictured is a minimum of 60 years old!
This bowl measures 11.25" across the top and is shallow at roughly 4;25"
It has seen a great deal of usage and much of the original finish is gone. You can oil it to improve it with a renewing oil.
The perfect addition to the farmhouse style kitchen!
No GIN Please...
the town of Munising is in Michigan's upper peninsula along the shores of the world's largest fresh water lake, lake Superior. The area is so beautiful and known for its natural painted rocks. Google this, its amazing, I did the cruise a few years ago and can't wait to get back!
