First I figure how much shipping itself is. If it's not too expensive I'll pay for tracking. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. But even if I don't, my packages have never gotten lost.

Weird. Maybe its a state thing but my post office now provides the tracking. I don't even have to pay for it. I just pay for the shipping costs and other costs such as insurance, if needed.
