This Stuff is Free Too:
Description

The listing, PocketPC - iPAQ 3670 has ended.

This is a great PDA for heavy Outlook 2000/2003 users, providing seamless syncing of contacts, email and calendar information. The unit features a large 3.8 inch screen, screen-wide handwriting recognition, a 206MHz processor, 64MB RAM, 16MB ROM and a "jacket" expansion connector.

I bought this unit used. (I never did use it because I won a newer version shortly after buying it!) The screen is in great shape; it has a scratch protector over it. There are minor scratches on the body of the unit but nothing major.

Included is the PDA, stylus, sync cable and fake (I think) leather case. (IMHO: The case is a bit cheesy and fits poorly. It does have a bunch of pockets for credit cards and the like.)

The battery was dead and I removed it rather than shipping dead weight. (I tried using a separate battery analyzer/charger because the built-in chargers won't start if the battery voltage is too low.The battery won't hold any charge.) Replacement batteries kits run about $10 on eBay and about $15 on Amazon which includes shipping. The unit powers up fine using USB, but needs to be setup each time since there is no battery. (I needed to reboot my windows box once after installing ActiveSync )

can you get on the internet and stuff just like a regular computer or is it just to keep contacts and notes?

No, this version didn't have bluetooth or wifi. You need an add-on card for either of those... It is only most effective for syncing Outlook via ActiveSync.

It has Pocket Editions of Word, Excel, Outlook (mail/contacts), Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer. (Of course, you need an add-on card to use Internet Explorer...)

Looks like you need a few things...

1. Jacket Expansion, the original part number was 173396-001 which is hard to find. It looks like Nexian sells a model. Search for 36xx compatible. (I found several on ebay as "Buy It Now," for about $25.)

2. You need a CF WiFi card, you can also find those on eBay. You will need to check if it is compatible. These also run about $20. Alternatively, you can look for bluetooth cf cards.

All-in-all, it is going to cost you a bit to get Wifi (or bluetooth) and you need to check compatibility with lots of googling. I think it is a lot of effort - if you need WiFi/Bluetooth, you are better off getting a newer model.

eBay search for "ipaq 3670 battery" comes up with about 70 hits. There are several kits for $10 with shipping.

is there a way you can get it? if i like give you certain credits or something/?

Sorry, I was not planning on getting it. I don't believe there is a way to give credits.

It sounds like WiFi access is something you really want - I'd keep checking Listia, lots of good Palms, Windows Mobile and smart phones show up often. You should find that matches your needs.

I really think this device is best for someone who is a heavy Outlook 2000/3 user and is willing to spend $10 (and about 15 minutes) for a new battery.
