one good thing about these scanners dont really have to have manual they can scan for local frequencies then lock them in i use to have one i broke want another so bad

how old is this ,,since the system has changed to HD does it still pick up all the channels,because i understand that all police ,,fire ,,and safety they have switched to an hd system and these old one,s do not pic up all the new stuff,,correct,,thanks,,watching

Radio shack has frequency numbers for your area that you can program in to a scanner, they used to give them out free, but I don't know if they charge for it now or not.
