A wondeful listing. This album is actually worth some bit of pocket change with vinyl making a comeback. Carole King is not only still working/touring/writng, she is an ardent conservationist and political activist. In 2003, Tapestry was one of 50 recordings chosen by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry. Recordings added to the National Recording Registry are picked to be preserved in the Library of Congress, the largest library in the world, as they are "culturally, historically, or aesthetically important.
In 2003, the album was ranked number 36 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
