The listing, ***DESERT ROSE seeds!!!!** (African Rose) has ended.

Adenium Obesum.. This succulent bush is a plant lovers delight! The winner receives 10 seeds for this plant! The Desert Rose is a prized plant and its seeds are hard to come by.... Its a plant that is good for people that seem to " kill everything" because it proves to be beautiful with very little care, however, a Desert Rose that is provided with more care will boast more flowers and a wonderful base. An older, healthy, well flowering Desert Rose can sell for more than $2000 !!!
The base on this plant is very interesting and unique...it forms in bulbous kind of trunk.. The base continues to grow beneath the surface and when you repot, the that part is on the surface and the process starts over.. Always an interesting display with this plant!!

Awesome color and I've learned something new ... thanks for sharing! In what part of FL are you located? I have a bright pink [wild] rose that sprang up last year and has been growing wildly ever since. It wasn't "here" when I first bought my place.

Its at its hardiest in zones 10 - 11... but does just fine in zones 8-11 with some care to take it indoors to avoid freeze.. Will do fine anywhere with a greenhouse atmosphere..

They can be overwintered inside..in the sunniest window that you have... The rest of the year they should have full direct sunlight..Grow these guys in a pot...They like to be "potbound" and theyll be portable for moving indoors...

What are its water requirements. I am in Colorado and would have to bring it in during the winter. And our climate can be very dry. Thanks.

Their water intake depends on the weather... and they do store some water in their base.. They should get to the point where the soil is almost dry, then add water...
They do the best in hot sunny weather, but a daily watering in very hot weather might be needed.... otherwise once a week watering should be fine..
