In the late thirties of the twentieth century Comic Books were made by DC Comics. First, a spider bit a young man and the venomous creature made this "young man" into a hero whom we all know today as Superman.
BUT in 1939, DC Comics Editor, Vincent Sullivan, decided he wanted another costumed hero to build on the popularity of the Man of Steel. With great enthusiasm, An artist by the name, Bob Kane, developed a character from the genre of Superman.
We all know him today as BATMAN!
For 75 years Batman has protected Gotham City from the forces of Evil! He has become a legendary hero of history. These stamps are a collection item of Batman from his childhood to this present day!
There are 4 versions of the Caped Crusader in the Forever Batman Stamps, as depicted from the 4 eras of comic book history. First Row; the Bronze Age, Second Row; the Silver Age, Third Row; the Golden Age, and my personal favorite is an addition. There is an amazing Fourth Row; the Famed Bat-Signal!!
