Matchbox Series No. 35
MERRYWEATHER FIRE ENGINE

Some chipped off paint
but the wheels and "axles" are straight and rolls perfectly
no broken parts that I can see
windows are all in place
JBR 254 G embossed as the rear license plate

Measures: 1" x 3" x 1" tall

I showed this to my Dad before I listed it and we were both shocked that it says "made in England" I thought Matchbox was American made company....Maybe it wasn't in 1969? I guess I should do a little research, right?

This was not one of my sons but I (he) has 4 double sided cases full with brand new looking cars...NEVER played with them....he was an outside boy... haha
but that didn't keep Mama from hoarding them!!! haha

love these little cars....maybe because when I was little I was the only girl,.....had only brother and boy cousins to play with and they wouldn't let me play cars so my parents got me that little Pink TONKA JEEP with the pink and white striped canvas roof.....Yep then I got to play with the big boys!!! lol

Be careful who ever wins not to let children who still put things in there mouth to handle this toy as it may contain lead. Many old cars, trucks ect... contain lead. just a heads up. Great memories.

I love toys! I still have my first 2 dolls, baby doll crib and rocking chair The first doll I got on first christmas so I was only 6 mos old and the doll was bigger than me....(I'm 57 so she's OLDDDDDD!!! ha ha she has had a hair transplant and she's in good shape!!
