( l ) on the left side and ( l ) on the right side would make it a lot older than 1990 in fack 1979 was the last year with zippo being in the cursive style script like that. one | on the left and one | on the right makes this a 1972 zippo

It's unfired, so I don't know if it still works from 1972...Zippo does repairs for free, but as you can see from the pics, the wick is new.
