The listing, Memento Ring Locket has ended.

This a ring that my grandmother bought at an estate sale a few years back. It used to have a paper with it that said it was purchased in the 70's and it is a keepsake momento box/ prayer ring. The box is not ment to be opened much and the ring is very delicate. What it said you were supposed to do was put something of someones in the ring like a lock of hair or a baby's tooth and glue it shut with a glue that was provided (It dried up so I threw it out but I'm sure any hard sealing adhesives such as super glue will do the job.) This way they will always be with you. Great gift for lovers or just someone who wants to remeber someone important in their lives.

Do not think it is sterling and it's not marked. The estate sale was of a women who worked in a church shop. I wish we still had the paperwork but it got wet when I moved

When you say delicate does that mean it won't last long in the conditions it's in to wear? This baby I'm holding in the picture is my daughter and she passed away 3 months ago at 20 years of age and I would love to be able to wear this with her hair inside. Do you think it's sturdy enough for me to wear, or are you describing the pattern? Thank you if you get to answer this question.

The lid is not ment to be opened alot. You put something special in it then glue it shut. Opening the lid roughly or alot will break it. It will not survive if you do not seal it but if you do it will last a very long time so long as you take it off before you submerge your hands or use heavy tools.
