Over the past few seasons, Carlos Gomez developed into one of the best centerfielders in baseball, often accumulating a WAR that puts him nearly in league with Mike Trout and Andrew McCutchen.(Gomez' league-leading 8.5 WAR in 2012 had him in the MVP conversation) Unfortunately, while a great player in the clubhouse, his on-field passion has often been construed as anger, damaging his reputation and keeping him out of the conversation. After making a name for himself with the Milwaukee Brewers over the past 5 1/2 seasons, he was traded to the Houston Astros for the 2015 pennant drive.
