Description
The listing, Vintage Silk Maharaja Swami Hat has ended.
This is an authentic and vintage Maharaja or Indian Prince hat. It does need a bit of hot glue for the strands of pearls, but no major defects. I'm planning on taking care of the simple fix and loading more pictures when I pull it out of storage. HOT FOR HALLOWEEN!
Questions & Comments
this. is. so. cool!!!! I must have it for my vintage hat collection!
Geez...I usually catch that. *blushing with embarrassment*. You're right! It's a great deal for international shipping...but I'm hoping you won't have to worry about shipping internationally! :) I guess I was so excited at finding it I just didn't notice the international shipping part..haha. :D
Great information! I had no idea it had a name of it's own! :D I'll have to look for more information on it, and on how to "preserve" it. It's so delicate but so beautiful.
Old paper anything is called "ephemera" for your oogleing inquiries... Scrapbook crafters and Artists are crazy about that stuff! Try Listia section under arts and crafts, scrapbooking.
Great! Looking forward to it! ;) You'd said you're fond of all things vintage. I've got some antique Valentine cards that belonged to my Great Grandmother from the same year or two and one is dated 1905. Is there a market for those?
Selling out at the markets i realize that the value of something is relative to the person that can't live without it. I sell really rare and obscure things and I am transitioning that to my etsy, tiesti.etsy.com. I think that because of scrapbooking and other paper arts they should always have value!
