Package doesn't say what it is. Strips of like nylon or rope or plastic. I don't really know. They aren't falling apart after heavy use so far.

I gotta tell you. I got one of these for my 5 year kitty. It is very hard to get her to play. After trying unsuccessfully for 2 days to get her to react, she wants to play all the time now even bringing it to me. Best. Toy. Ever.

Judy57, my cat Munchkin's favorite toy is a small chunk of foam from an old mattress...lol. She will sit on this catdancer toy for hours until I see her now. As soon as she sees me pick it up its game time. Whoever gets this will love it.
