This little vintage gem was acquired at a yard sale from a lil old lady who clearly didn't know what she had. There was a Bible inside it, and a couple ink pens and a highlighter. What she was using for Bible study was a classic Coach!
When I got this, it definitely needed work. Truthfully, it still does. There were a few pen marks on it. SOoo I took the bag to the Coach store in the mall. They sold me a leather cleaner, and gave me a brass hangtag to coordinate with the brass hardware. (The original hangtag is long gone.) With the leather cleaner, I managed to FADE (but unfortunately not eliminate) the pen marks. I did manage to restore the finish to a nice shine with the moisturizer after applying the cleaner.
The lady at the Coach store told me that if leather cleaner is used over time, it may continue to fade the pen marks. I know that there are several independent companies that can help professionally restore this further if you wish. It really has the potential to be a lovely bag if given the right love.
I hope that these pictures are adequate for auction purposes; I am down to using a cell phone right now for pics and my plan charges me 3.5 min. PER upload, but if you need more pics I will supply them.
The serial number on this bag is F7M-9087 as seen in the second pic with the creed. I will make this a ten-day auction and continue to work on the affected areas with my cleaners during that time. Granny's loss is your gain! :)

Nice auction! Have you tried a little hair spray to get rid of the ink marks? You poor thing- you may want to switch phone companies or plans! That's a lot to upload a pic!!! I also do all of my uploading by my droidx but it's all in one price pkg. Have a great Monday!

Oh no, I have heard HORRIBILE things about hairspray on leather. :) I have been told that the reason it works sometimes is the alcohol in it; in which case I should just use plain alcohol. But I don't want to risk anything bad by using anything other than Coach brand products on this leather. :)
