I got it! I was contemplating dinner ideas and then suddenly it dawned on me... creamy tomato soup soap! It's probably way to radical for the standard soap user but ohhhhh I would love to smell like creamy tomato soup which makes me want a grilled cheese sandwich haha! Standard American classic wee! Another idea... brown sugar cinnamon toast.... ok I think I'm hungry lol but could you imagine soap smelling as delectable as that?!?! whoa! Another one... pecan pie! How do people DO this? I must learn! ;-)

Tomato is awesome for acne. I did try soup and the scent didn't survive the lye process. But it makes the soap a lovely color.

Brown sugar Cinnamon Toast! yum!!

Now if only the scent of a cool, crisp Autumn day could be captured in a bar. Or a warm, cozy bonfire. :-)

There is a Bonfire scent called Campfire but I have never smelled it. It does intrigue me and reviews well.

I just got one that is supposed to capture Autumn Air- the jury is still out on that one.

These are awesome ideas!! Your a creative soul too- it's a good thing.

Aren't soap scents addicting- so many choices out there! :)

strawberry cheesecake ... vanilla custard ... mixed fruit tart ... doughnuts! ... shortbread cookies ... gingerbread cookies with a peppermint twist ... coconut chocolate brownies ... pumpkin spice cheesecake ... banana nut bread ... is there such a thing as overly enthusiastic? naw :-p

Nice! I've done glazed cinnamon doughnuts and the gingerbread but not with Peppermint- that would be awesome. I had an issue with Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake the other day- it messed my soap up so I have to resoap that one.

I really love Banana Nut Bread- that would be great in soap too!

Mocha coffee drink with cream! Just thought of another one. :-) You could even finely grind up coffee beans and add it to the bar for exfoliation!

I got that chocolate bar here in Missouri. There's this place called The Bistro Market, here in downtown Springfield. That's where I found the lavender blueberry chocolate bar! It's 6 bucks a pop, but it's worth it. You can make it last so long!

Do you offer other products in your Etsy or ebay shops? also, for scent suggestions, do you have an American Cream (Lush) dupe or CSP (Comptoir Sud Pacifique) dupes?
Sep 29th, 2011 at 9:28:54 PM PDT by
Original
I have access to an American Cream dupe- only 1 fragrance oil company puts the Lush dupes out that I'm aware of. CSP- I haven't seen one but have been looking around for one. I do have an Etsy shop but don't think I can post it on here. I'll message you. :) Thanks for stopping by!

Lol it's ok and yes I would love to visit your website! I also thought of some new ideas for you! Since it's fall, a spiced pumpkin with cinnamon sounds amazingly good! And I'm a sucker for pomegranate, so a pomegranate and lemongrass would be good too! Also this scent I think sounds beautiful, blueberry and lavender. I had a blueberry and lavender chocolate bar once and it tasted amazing! Two great flavors in one! So those two scents in one soap bar would be fantastic! And I wish you luck with creating the perfect shampoo. It takes time, but practice makes perfect! And I would love to try your lotion too!

Where did you get a blueberry and lavender chocolate bar? I would love to try something like that!! It would be awesome as a soap scent.

It's no problem! I like coming up with ideas that can help people in any way! I can be pretty creative! The strange brew sounds so good! Same with the blood orange! Same with all of your soaps! LOL. And it sounds good to me that u constantly wash your hands and they aren't dry! That's exactly what I need, soap that doesn't dry my skin out! Have you ever thought about making shampoo or lotion? I would definately use that too!
Sep 29th, 2011 at 3:20:26 PM PDT by

I do handmade lotion from scratch- my preservative is Paraben and Formaldehyde free. I'm working currently on a Vegan version- my original has goat milk.

I do have access to an awesome Shampoo base which I use every day. It's pretty much a scent and go thing but I wish I could take credit for it- I love it. Of course, sulfate free. I cannot use sulfates- I itch from them not to mention they are drying.
I have tried Shampoo bars but they didn't work for me. :( I haven't been able to perfect a liquid soap for the shampoo base which is something I have been obsessing about. Maybe soon I will come up with one I like.

If you want to pm me- I'll send you my Etsy shop so you can check it out- it's not done yet but you'll get an idea. I would post it here but I don't think it's legal and I don't want Listia to holler at me. LOL

i have an idea if you haven't already done this..have u ever used hemp seed oil? that's the kind of shampoo and conditioner i use, it's amazing!! and smells sooo good! I was thinking of like hemp seed oil with patchouli, nag champa, or sandlewood...or maybe all together. idk it's an idea tho! and i would definately use it! i love earthy smells!
Sep 29th, 2011 at 3:14:23 AM PDT by

Thanks for the fan . :) The Strange Brew beer soap is a mix of all those- very earthy but nice and unisex. It's one of my favorites. I mix Patchouli with Frankincense and Myrrh which is grounded as well. I have some Sandalwood fragrance oils of different persuasions that I have soaped and some waiting to be soaped. I love Sandalwood too. It's very expensive in pure form (about 100 bucks an ounce) and considering I use a couple of ounces of fragrance- that would be steep- LOL.

I have used Hemp Seed in my soap recipe and I like it too. I have a basic recipe and sometimes I replace the Avocado with Hemp. That's what's fun about creating- you can pretty much change stuff and still end up with great soap. My hands should be so dry from washing so much and they aren't. All well formulated handmade soap in theory should do this. Thanks so much for your ideas. Your in the running for a free bar. :)

Bring it on- I love to hear what people like in soap. I love the Foodie scents too. I'm working out a Maple Bacon Ice Cream scent with a few different scents so when I get that- breakfast is on!! :) I do a lot of those scents you mentioned in the fall. I'm getting ready to soap some Pumpkin Pie in fact along with Gingersnaps. I'll have to check into a Banana Bread scents safe for skin- tons of the foodie scents are for candles only.
Thanks so much for checking out my auction. :)
