FREE: Very old US 4c stamp from 1890 with Abraham Lincoln

The listing, Very old US 4c stamp from 1890 with Abraham Lincoln has ended.

Up for auction is another really old US stamp-- it's a 4c dark brown with Abraham Lincoln, I believe it is Scott number 222 from 1890. It is in used condition with what seems like a fairly normal postmark for for the time period. old crease/bend at top but otherwise no obvious faults that I could see-- presentable. This is a somewhat "better" stamp with a Scott value of $4.50.

Here's the bigger scoop: My mom and stepdad both passed away a few years ago, and I've been going through some of their old stuff-- they were both dedicated "savers" of everything. In some ways, I guess they were borderline "hoarders." My stepdad accumulated stamps, and this is from his collection-- although it's more like a giant pile of messy album pages and envelopes.

I think people should have fun bidding on stuff-- that's what auctions are all about! So the starting bids for my stuff will always be is FIVE credits, and we go from there, no matter HOW valuable something might be.
