You are bidding on another nice old US stamp-- it's a 4c brown with Ulysses S. Grant, a shade of Scott catalog number 303, issued in 1903. It is in used condition with a wavy lines postmark. Looks to be free of damage-- corner perf creased a long time ago. Scott value is $2.50.

Here's the bigger scoop: My mom and stepdad both passed away a few years ago, and I've been going through some of their old stuff-- they were both dedicated "savers" of everything. In some ways, I guess they were borderline "hoarders." My stepdad accumulated stamps, and this is from his collection-- although it's more like a giant pile of messy album pages and envelopes.

I think people should have fun bidding on stuff-- that's what auctions are all about! So the starting bids for my stuff will always be is FIVE credits, and we go from there, no matter HOW valuable something might be.
