WOW!!!! A Brand NEW, in box, Digital Film Scanner!!! Received as gift but never had a chance to use. Original retail near $150! This is some information & advice from others that I found about the unit:

* Scan color or monochrome film & mounted slides
* 2.0 USB Interface

The VuPoint 35mm slide scanner is a 5 megapixel low-mid range CCD (Image Sensor) in a tough plastic housing. The housing contains a mini light box at the bottom to illuminate 35mm slides/negatives for scanning. Simply take your slides or negatives, mount them in the included trays & slide the trays into the scanner unit. Each tray window snaps gently into place, helping you to align slides/negatives under the CCD.

Unit is powered by a 4 ft long USB 2.0 cable, so it has an extremely small desktop footprint. The scanner allows usage virtually anywhere, from any angle (sideways on your lap, in bed, etc).

If you have a roll of undeveloped film, ask your local photo lab to have the film developed but not printed. Tell them to cut & sleeve the film for you. Then use your scanner as described above!

so does this thing download them to my computer or does it develope the pictures.don't understand it.i have like 60 rolls of film that needs developing.

It doesn't develop photos. It takes your negatives or slides and uploads them to your computer. I understand that you can take undeveloped film, have it developed without prints at a photo lab and then put those negatives in the scanner to be put on your computer. It is new and I have never used it so this is how I understand it to function. Lots of people have boxes of negatives but no photos or slides they want to put on their computer for ease in sending to others, printing themselves or using for crafts and things. Well, I saw this and thought what an awesome present it would be for my husband for Christmas, but it doesn't look like I will have enough credits if there are now 54 people watching it lol. Anyway, GREAT auction! I am sure you will do AWESOME on it! My hubby and I are Professional Photographers, but I mainly take pictures and do a little editing on my stuff, but he knows tons and tons about photography and collects old cameras etc too... photographers are AWESOME!
