COMPAQ Armada, windows 98 I believe. A good basic back to school laptop for web surfing, word processing and email. I took a photo of all the laptop info above. It works but I am listing it as-is because it is not mine. This laptop used to be my sisters' and no longer wants it. I figured I would list it on here and someone could get some good use out of it rather than toss it. I couldn't set up internet on it because I have wireless at home. It says there's a wireless connection on it so I'm guessing There's a way to do it but I'm not computer savvy and I get frustrated too easily. If you have any questions please ask.

Windows 98 runs fine on these, just need to install the old software and it will run fine,,
If wanting it to run some more modern stuff Puppy Linux should do good on this...

mimi, former PC tech here. That is an ancient machine. It might be OK for (very) basic web surfing, email and word processing while running a stripped down Linux OS, but that's about it. Glad to see you're trying to keep it out of a landfill, all the same. Take care.

Thank you jiffythorn, everyone keeps putting messages up saying how old or useless this computer is but honestly it's not that bad. Ive messed with it and it's not the best but it's definitely not the worst! You may have to install a few things to get it the way you like it but all in all its a good student or personal laptop.
