The listing, Creemee Hat - Orange (sample) has ended.

Over the last few months I created my first original knitting design. The hats are now available at the Artisan's Gallery in Waitsfield, Vermont, at $45 each. In the process of creation I knitted 5 sample hats. Two were sold at craft fairs (only $28), but three are still sitting around my studio. I'm going to offer them on Listia and see if there is any interest.

This one was knitted in two different wool yarns, knitting worsted weight. Fairly soft.

The hat would probably fit most toddlers, perhaps up to a 4 or 5 year old.. It is pretty stretchy. Approximately 17" around the bottom and 6" tall with the brim folded up, not counting the little tip at the top.

In the "creemee" design? Not currently. I retail the baby version for $45 and don't make much on it, so doing something bigger wouldn't be practical. It would use more yarn and more time and wouldn't sell for more money. The adult hats that I do make only go for $40, but they are simple and knit up fast. I do have a couple of those listed, just go to my profile and look through the list.

Wanted to add that the knitting pattern for this hat will be available on my website in the next few weeks. I'll include instructions for scaling up the size in case someone wants to make one for a 10 or 12 year old.
