The winner will get 3 unrooted stem cuttings of dieffenbachia as shown in the second photo. These cuttings will grow into the light-green leafed variety with white spots and specks. This house plant can grow tall with large ornamental leaves (see first photo). They are very tolerant of shade and love warmer temperatures. Mine thrive, however, in an unheated room in the winter. They can be easily propagated by cutting stems when the plant grows tall. It looks beautiful. I have a small jungle of them in a corner of my place. Perhaps not the best if your pets eat leaves as these can cause swollen lips and mouth if eaten. Hence the name, dumb cane. So don't eat them but enjoy their beauty!
