O another cool thing is you can just basically download your disc games onto the system, and not have to use a disc after that, or rent a game and do the same, seems to load faster that way to for some reason. Only thing is once jailbroken you cant update then firmware anymore, and as i said for heavy online game players if you dont kno what your doing they can pick up on it and could ban you.

Good thing though is if your playing games you burnt online for free, Sony cant tell if its a normal bought game or not.

Microsfoft on the other hand seems to be able to tell after a few hrs..

No you will not get into legal trouble , Sony has never brought a case against someone for jail breaking their PS3.. There are so many hackers out their that come up with their own CFW(CUSTOM FIRMWARE) AND then share it to the hacker community's its become just a normal thing.. Jailbreaking is NOT easy to do if you r not sure what your doing and u can easily mess your system up. So having one already Jail-broken and modded for auction is cool..

Jailbroken & modded means he has custom firmware on the system and can do a lot more with the system, Even download pirated games and play them. A iphone can be Jailbroken as well, just a little different obviously, But its awesome to have a Jailbroken PS3.. U gotta be careful getting online into multi player games with it though unless he has software installed that is undetectable ..

YEA most Ps3's with ppl that have No to little seller history its a big chance your taking on having nothing sent and your points in escrow waiting on listia to give them back..

If I win it could you uninstall the jailbreak and reset it back to it's original firmware? I'd like to give this to someone who I know will be playing online.

Its prob a fake auction, auctions like this with somone new with no feedback normally turn out in the winner never getting the system, and having to dispute it, wasting your time and hangng up your credits for a few days..

u should add a Pic of it hooked up to a TV, And show its fully working .. He says its 500gb, which non of the fat PS3s came in a HDD size that high, he could of easily chnged it out for a bigger, but im not sure if that effects the backwards compatibility .
