I saw the original paintings in a museum near LA, California. They did an x-ray of Blue Boy. I found it fascinating that the artist had originally painted him with a dog (I think it was white) in the foreground. However, the artist decided to delete the dog and paint that portion black.

I meant are they "copies" (prints - no paint) or is there actually paint on these pieces making these "paintings"?
