Questions & Comments
1- does it grow in minnesota? 2- how do you cook it?
You will have to google for these answers, the charts above in photo's will give you answers to the zone you live in, then just look up that zone after googling a search on the item above. I am sorry, I have not the time nor the room to give the answers to these questions. There are recipes online also for these type of apples, this is where I got mine from.
Take a look at the zone charts...Google the seed name and look on a seed or plant web site....it will tell you zones for this plant. The apples are really hard and have a slightly sour taste...Icook them down in a water bath boil till soft after coring them of course...and make jams, jellies and butter out of the fruit.
After you find your area on maps make note of your zone number and this will tell you if it can grow in your area. We had below 0F winters last year, like -30 below and it survived, it was lovely this year...I mulch 4 inches deep and keep it that deep year round. This may help.
