Spectacular antique. Silver/pewter antique jewelry box with angels and intricate design - heart shaped with velvet interior marked Japan. You never see these. If you are a collector of jewelry boxes - this is for you! So gorgeous. Box may have been hinged at one time but comes right on and off - easy to use and very decorative. Great antique AND free ship. Yay!Update: I was asked to apply a magnetic test and this item did not stick to any magnets. It is my understanding that silver is not magnetic. So therefore, according to this test, and the fact that it needs polishing, I believe this to be silver,at least in part, with maybe some pewter. The old items were not marked .925 and indeed, were marked "Japan" if that is where they were made - as this item was. KEK
