The listing, 21 Days of Confessions. Health, Beauty, Hair, Makeup, Nails, Gift cards has ended.

Every day, I will update this auction with a confession of mine, specifically regarding my time on Listia.

It is meant to be lighthearted, poke fun of myself, publicly apologize, or share my embarrassments.

Some of these embarrassments will be worth a gift card (to amazon or walmart probably, for now my choice). Will start at $1 and add to it as needed.

Some of my confessions will be worth full size drug-store makeup, high-end deluxe/samples, perfumes and fragrances, hair accessories or treatments, polishes, lotions, facial masks, cleansers.

Most items will be brand new and unused, if anything is used I will heavily identify it as USED, and it will not break listia rules (so have no fear over used makeup).

I will describe and post at least a pic of the item daily. (unless it's the gift card, then I'll just tell you how much I'm increasing it's value by)

I hope you'll watch until the end; I'm hoping you might get a laugh from my confessions or feel you aren't alone if they mirror yours.

So let's start :)

Day 1 Confession: My 'disclaimer' on auctions is not JUST b/c I'm so crazy busy w/ 4 kids/full time job/pets, but because I'm an introvert. I hate 'following up' or 'checking in' with people. I assume you trust me to uphold my end and there's no need to pester you with emails saying I'm doing my job. However, I understand extroverts need communication so I'm really trying to be better about at least sending 1 email to the winner. But if I'm sent me more than 2 emails from someone asking me about the item I just start deleting them without reading. (it overwhelms me and makes me sad, sorry)

Day 1 Item: NWT Victoria's Secret panties. Boy Short Style - Size Medium (fits 6/7 panty size, or 10-12 dress size), I'll pick colour later tonight when I take pictures/upload. I bought a ton during two 8 for 28 sales and have some extras. I find them very comfy :)

I've had tons of auctions with chit chat in the comments. granted not like this one, but I was wondering if there was going to be a ban on all non-auction/item related conversation. i guess for every person who calls me the meanest person on earth, there's 200 people who agree with me lol. so im starting to feel better about my stats when people are difficult and I have no time for them. personally I loved the lady today who wrote me for the third time (surprise surprise I didn't hit delete I actually wrote back!) asking WHY WASN'T I SHIPPING!?!?!?!?! I said b/c I have 7 days to ship and they were annoying (more or less). yes, I was abrasive. why? because I shouldn't have to explain to someone who just won bath & body works and victorias secret items for 12k credits that I have two sick kids at home and one is a baby who won't stop screaming long enough to copy information into paypal to print a label. especially when she started harassing me on day 4. but yes. it isn't hard to click got it. it isn't hard to leave feedback. timely feedback. but I get that life comes up. or sometimes someone is underthrilled and has nothing nice to say so they choose to say nothing. or whatever. like you said, they get a ton of credits asap and then just sit on everything. but I think you just gave me my idea for today's confession

i hate to say it but it sure seems like the Mod is harassing you a bit? Its really cazy how personal they are taking your "feelings" about some of the bull that goes on in this site. If they take away the chatting, conversations , they deny us the "friendships" we make on here. The chatting is really part of the fun on Listia. I have met some wonderful ladies! I have gotten some awesone stuff too!!

I really think the censorship of comments is specific to this auction since I incited a riot (really? 10 people posted similar experiences lol). or maybe sellers can never post friendly things again, only others. who knows. I guess we'll see in a few weeks if the rules update about content in auctions :)

im assuming the mods aren't taking my criticisms personally, but others reporting me are. if I was a jerk and assumed, I would say all the people who rip off others, dislike my opinions of sellers and buyers, feedback, facebook groups, or someone who recognized themselves in my description of their actions.

I just wanted to clarify that I wasn't told initially I couldn't update via comments, that wasn't until after (you?) a mod said in comments I couldn't post in comments or updates anymore. the first mod sent me an email saying I could only not post non-item updates on the auction.

but you didn't answer as to whether all auctions will be censored in listia's rules from here on out in the comments section or if it's just this one I am no longer allowed to make non-item comments about. thanks

Lol I wouldn't say I truly don't care, but I'm glad no one had been spiteful or malicious, I am hoping this auction is taken in good spirit. I know for a fact people have blocked me for my disclaimer and phrasing but if you can't see why I don't care to coddle people it won't break my heart. Some have time and spirit, kudos, some of us don't. I have four kids under seven; I'm lucky I'm even coherent lol

My question to MOD Joe is, if listia isn't facebook then why is it 1 way to verify your account and link the two sites? Why does listia prompt me to "share" on facebook after every auction I win? Why do I get 50 free credits everyday if I share an auction on FB? I guess listia only wants to involve facebook when it benefits them for exposure. Hmmmmmmmm

yes, it's not a perfect system. and I get that they're trying to make a stable economy but then it seemed like they just gave up and started pleasing everyone to retain members. I don't really know the logic behind some of it.

I guess I am one of the rare ones and have some extra time on my hands so I check on my Listia several times a day. I work nights so have all day to do my part on checking comments etc.. I totally get that life sometimes overwhelms people and they don't have enough time in a day. I raised 4 kids so trust me I know. But having said that I always list my auctions around times and days to accomplish the goal of being a good seller. I always congrats my winners and tell them when I am mailing. Its the attitude of some sellers that irks me especially the ones that think its an inconvience to respond or mail out items you won. Its rude! Why even bother selling if you aren`t going to be good at it! lol Thanks for your input.

I go through spurts. sometimes I come on here to escape real life, and other times to enhance it lol and then sometimes I have no time to even find new stuff to bid on. like I mention above, im an introvert (and socially awkward) but I always update the little 'shipped tell winner' button. or if it's getting close I let them know. or if they gin'd I let them know even more. most ppl that gin want something asap. others gin b/c they don't want to fight others for it lol. im always grateful to the latter xD

Just wanna let y'all know that there is something called Priority REGIONAL shipping...The boxes are free from the US post office, delivered to your door, tracking included, free boxes, free tape, free labels. You do have to print out your own shipping label via paypal-I print it on paper and tape it to the box. It is soooooo much cheaper than regular flat rate shipping. For a 15# box-it is about $5.70-takes 3 days, is insured, has trcking included and is safe and cheaper for all of us...I have been using regional for about 3 years now...hope y;all check into it..Ciao

I use those sometimes. I really like them b/c you can fit a lot more in them. I almost always use padded flat rate envelopes though. but I've found a small flat rate box will fit in a flat rate envelope and you get the cheaper rate w/ the security of a box :)

Just an FYI the reason I block people who don't leave feedback Is because Listia doesn't release my credits for 20 days or until they leave feedback or click got it. Many times I have been ignored with my request to click got it and not seen my credits for 20 days. So therefore I don't want them doing it again so they get blocked. See there could be very good reasons for those feedback stalkers out there. If it wasn't for Listia not giving me my credits until they click got it I wouldn't care if I ever got feedback. Lol

thank you, I can TOTALLY understand that. I rarely have my credits tied up too long.... I guess that's the one area listia is NICE to me (shocker I know). my credits are normally released within 1-5 days of shipping the item, so I've never had someone sit on my credits for 20 days. *nods* so I can completely understand anger and frustration from someone not hitting the 'got it' button in a timely manner. That's an aspect I haven't experienced but thank you for explaining your side. that helps broaden my perspective.

This was my first month on this site and I've already experienced 95% of your happenings.. I left FB 12/31/14 because I was always politically censored and randomly deleted, yet there were girls w T&A out and no one flags that... I've blocked like 80 people for being cruddy, either their questions are like I'm 12 and it's obvious I shouldn't be here or just crazy back to back nonsense. So far it's ok, but maybe a few more months and I will decide to stay or leave. I met a really sweet lady a bit north of me and she's a doll to chat with when I need a girl chat while my hubby is at work. I love this site so far. The fluctuating points are silly, I've had to adjust mid auctions for inflation and deflation. The GC's are whack!! I had to sell some just to make profit on shipping a Halloween mega lot out. Lesson learned.. Heavy boxes are not as easy as small cute items!!! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading everything you all had to say, really helped this new gal. I find it rude of the seller to never responded to the winner after the auction is over. It's only Common Courtesy to let the winner of your auction know when you plan to mail it out or a small message to thank them for placing a bid and winning your auction.

Thank you so much for this auction. I just saw it about a week ago and have been watching ever since. Love the way you have done it. Someone is going to be a very lucky winner. So disappointed that it is being censored. (I had commented yesterday and I believe it was deleted by Mods). Just don't understand what was so wrong with the format of your auction, and why ppl felt a need to flag it? I didn't see where you were personally attacking anyone, it seemed like this was meant to be a light hearted kind of thing. I personally feel that the ugly comments and personal attacks should be the kind of thing that should be monitored. Anyway, hope that this one blows the roof off with credits, it deserves them!

I can see both sides. it just stinks b/c it wasn't meant to be a 'hate listia' party. I mean anyone who hates this site just wouldn't be on it anymore. and if there's griping it's b/c people are rightfully frustrated at times, and other times just being petty (which is why I highlight when I'm just being difficult or petty lol).

I often see people auctioning items for WAY more than there even worth, or their asking for shipping fees that are worth more than the items, I have to say something. I once had a lasy charge me 28$ in shipping for 4 used peices of clothing even though she said she would group it all together, Can you believe that? Or I have been blocked for even asking questions, about if its new, or is that a stain? or is that a tear? I had a lady ban me for asking about the big water spot on a coach wallet...lol. JUST BE HONEST people..geeez. I also hot blocked for not responding to a message in 2 days and she says "I see you logged in but your not responding so I am blocking you!!" Crazy lady..please DO block me! I dont know what is wrong with people. I think its funny that people get away with ripping people off, lying, stealing items and shipping fees and list fake items or even harass others and when you block them they have their listia friends message you and stalk your auctions, but when you chat a little and keep it real, they tell you to stop it. Ridiculous. Bravo for honesty!!

thanks, I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel a little picked on. but these experiences you describe I think we all encounter. we all react a little differently, we all are the offenders sometimes (either on purpose or accident). but I have truly appreciated all the comments, except the stay-at-home moms thing :p , and I'm hoping this has at least made people feel not alone in their frustrations or inner thought process. I'm sure I've skated the bounds of allowance with continuing to respond to comments, or questioning the mods. not the first time I've had issues w/ authority though so you'd think I'd be used to it. wow your auction is getting a lot of attention from the mods. Why do people feel the need to berate an auction when you're following the rules? smfh. I've also have thought about quitting Listia for a while now, not as much fun as it used to be and the inflation of credits is ridiculous. used to be 1,000 per $1 but now it's more like 10,000 per $1.
They don't tell anyone about updating the rules, just when you 'do something wrong' which was always allowed. I had one mod tell me digital listings were no longer allowed yet the actual Listia account does digital gift cards and I still see various digital listings, hell it is still an option.
Listia is losing people and it will be a dead site eventually.
But for now I do stay because I do benefit from it. i wish you much success!

ugh the inflation of credits is disabling lol. but I can get random toys and books and clothes for the kids I just have to keep thinking inflation will hit my items too and help even things out :)

I caught the tail-end of helping people auctions. I was trying to help new mothers that might feel alone or stupid, and that lasted two weeks before those auctions were banned. now if I do auctions like that I just placed helpful tips inside instead of offering an ear to those in need. I mean I didn't post it but hello, introvert w/ panic disorder, PPD, and 30 years of clinical depression. I was just trying to show some of my haters that I'm not intentionally mean or quiet all the time - I kinda treat everyone the same lol. and im always afraid of contacting (aka bothering people) almost to a crippling degree. but that's not what I want to post in my 'disclaimer' either. tmi and all :)
