I have started a new yahoo group similar to the way Listia runs. This group is based on the idea of bartering and credits. I know we all have things at home we don't use. Maybe you have extra stock from your direct sale business? How about trading it. You list the items you have that you want to re-home. Others list items they are looking for. You will receive credits for "SELLING" the merchandise that you no longer want. You will use those credits to "BUY" the things you want. If you are interested click here and you are on your way!!

Hey....if someone were to grow this catnip, to then dry and use for putting in cat toys, do you use the whole thing or just the green part and not the flowery part?

My Gram just used the leaves and stems. If you let the flowers go...that is wehre the seed will come from and you can gather the seed and use it to replant. You can let the leaves somewhat dry on the plant, then when you havest it...cut the stems off close to the ground..allow 2-4". Then hang it inside a white tall trash bag, where it can let go of its seed inside of the bag, it will also get air around the plant so the plant won't get moldy. Shake the bag and plant once in a while to shake out the seeds. After you have collected most of the seeds, and the plant is pretty much dried...then whatever is left...you can crush, cut or mutilate any way you want to for your fur babies. Hope this helps. :-}

Do cats come around it in your garden before it is ready to harvest? I don't want all the neighborhood cats hanging around. I have three indoor cats and this would be for them...and the dog. He like anything the cats do.
