Yes its a real blade but its kinda dull so if you would want it sharp you would have to sharpen it.

If you look at my pictures and see where the tip of my finger is slid into, that's how the claw stay's on your finger.

Not sure the exact ring size but the size doesn't matter really. It's more about how long your finger is cause it's held in place with the tip of the claw, so my finger fit's in snug into the tip of the claw. my ring size is 9 or 10 and it's bigger then that but that's not what holds the claw onto your finger. The tip where your finger slides into holds the claw on your finger.
