Description
The listing, Belleek Pitcher has ended.
Bottom marking is a castle and horse. Round marking below is Belleek Ireland. I can't makeout the picture or the numbers below the circle.
I've had this for about 10 years, so I really don't know how old it is. It's in perfect condition and is 4" high to the tip of the spout. Will ship with care.
Questions & Comments
This mark dates to 1965 to 1981. If you have more Belleek to list, here's a link to a page that shows you how to date them: http://www.robertruiz.com/belleek/dating_wares.html
Some older Belleek is quite valuable, you might want to check the marks and value (on ebay), then when you list them you can say how much it's worth!
I have listed a few collectible/antique items and they didn't do particularly well on Listia, but it's been a while since I did that. I'm not sure it's something a lot of people on Listia look for, other than old jewelry. If you list more, avoid using the custom sub-category. Lots of people search categories but I don't think too many of us search the custom sub-categories. Just put it in collectibles with no sub-category.
Also, watch for similar items on Listia, and either put in a small watch bid or put them on your watch list. If they get any action, try contacting the bidders when you list your own item, just to let them know you have something similar that they were interested in. That can help a lot!
You also might want to try listing your Belleek in the antiques category. I know they are not really antiques, but people looking in the antiques category might be more interested in Belleek than folks browsing the collectibles category. I wish Listia would let us list in two categories. I'll suggest that to them!
Wow, I just browsed the antiques category and it's gotten a lot more active than the last time I checked. Lots of items selling in there for a few thousand credits, including some Hummel, salt shakers and even some jewelry doing very well in that category. Choosing the best category can make a huge difference in how much action you get. It can take some time to develop a selling strategy for Listia so don't be afraid to change the way you are listing, describing, etc. your stuff!
Sorry to post so many comments, but the antiques category also has a vintage subcategory. that is very active. Hmmm, I might have to pull out some of my vintage stuff for Listia!
Re: saving customers, no, you can't. You have to go through your list of completed listings, but they stay in your account forever so you can always go look them up. But as far as contacting people en masse, no way to do that!
