Can't vouch for what it is made out of, but this is a silver colored nose bone with a simulated clear colored gemstone. The stone is very showy, and a bit on the large side, but nice and sparkly. This piece is 7mm, standard bones usually come in lengths of 5mm and 7mm. I couldn't wear it, my nostril is thin and I normally wear 5mm. I've been wearing a similar piece for about a year now, and it still looks shiny and new! Hopefully, this info will give you an idea of whether or not this piece will work for you.
