Today's America does not resemble the America that the founders of this country fought so hard to shape. The First Amendment only applies if my views happen to be the currently "popular and politically-correct" views. The Second Amendment never applies... but someone forgot to tell that to the criminals. We have gladly given up our basic God-given freedoms and rights in exchange for a false sense of security. Apparently the words of Benjamin Franklin - one of the Founding Fathers of this country - have been forgotten: "Those who surrender freedom for security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one."

For those of us who actual study history, as opposed to those who just parrot the propaganda that they are spoon-fed, this is reminiscent of Nazi Germany as Hitler was first coming to power.

Thomas Jefferson, another Founding Father of this once great nation knew that, from time to time, the governing body would have to be torn down by it's citizens and rebuilt or it would grow to tyrannical dictatorial proportions - "Let them take arms.... The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."
