Hi My New Friend!.. In response to your question: The B.C. Warming Unit Never makes whatever it is that you put on it, hotter than it was when firat placed on it. In other words; If you put a cup of soup on it; it simply keeps the temperature stable, so that you dont need to reheat it. I hope that this explanation helps? .... Nice to see back Dear! ... and Yes It truly is nice for keeping drinks warm or hot, depending on how it the drink was when you placed it there :) I've got mine (exact same one - for Years Now ) I got this one because I loved my original one so much. But I do "weird" things like that, when I lie something a Lot I try to purchase another for when the "original" one gets "shoddy", Clothes as well! (if I can afford to do so) But I believe that I have had my "original" one now for OMG at least 10 yrs. Wow, time sure does fly-by! Good Luck and nice to see you again Honey :) :)
