Well, I just can't hold onto everything, can I? Our Mom passed away recently and there's just SO much of my grandmother's and great grandmothers that she held onto. My great grandmother was born in 1888 and my grandmother was born in 1908. Most of these things were made by them and my Mother, who was born in 1927, when she was a child. Some she just collected from other family members through the years :)

I think that this is a set of hand embroidered scarves for an armchair. I think the large one went on the back of the chair where your head rests and the 2 smaller go on each of the arms. This was to protect the upholstery from skin oils.

I have 100's of pieces to offer in the future so tell your friends who might collect these items :) Give them as gifts, make your own craft projects out of them, etc.

***HINT: People in nursing or assisted living facilities LOVE to get these as gifts. They bring back such sweet memories for them :) :)
