Strung with brown braided silk thread.
Old Jade is defined as Jade that was mined prior to 1900. The jade has been stock piled and/or stored and carved anytime after World War II. This is what gives it that aged look.
Ceragem is a Chinese Company that produces massage tables and other personal items. This piece was one of many carved to commerate their anniversary in 2009. The carving is obviously new but the jade itself appears very old.
