This listing is for one laundry muslin bag with organic soap nuts, also known as soap berries. Soap berries are naturally grown and are environmentally friendly detergent for your clothes, house, and skin and hair.
Each bag includes approximately half an ounce or 5-6 soap nuts. The seeds have been removed and the husks are halved for more surface area contact with the water. Each bag can be used for 5-8 laundry loads. When the soap nuts lose some of its color and become almost mushy when wet, then that's the time to toss them and use new soap nuts.
Soap nuts can also be boiled in water and used as a household cleaner, shampoo, and body wash. Keep refrigerated and use quickly within a week or two. There are no preservatives so it will spoil quickly. In each of its uses, the soap nuts doesn't sud, but it still does it's job for cleansing. Soap nuts can be reused after its laundry use to make household cleaner, shampoo, and body wash, so long as it has some suds left when squeezing the soap nuts. But for a more concentrated product, use fresh soap nuts.
To use for laundry:
- Make sure bag is tightly closed
- Place bag directly in washing machine.
- Avoid over loading washing machine for best results.
- Reuse bag for next load. Each bag can be used for 5-8 loads.
To use as a household cleaner:

- Pour into container and use for various house cleaning, such as cleaning counters, floors using as dish soap, etc.
