vintage candy,jelly,deep frying,cooking thermometer.made by chaney instrument co..works awesome.is used.has adjustable pan holder. Glass, 8 1/2 -Inches long.has top yellow plastic part where you can add string to it.
This tools is a great addition when baking. Hangs on pot very well.
Easy to read numbers.and easy to read face.
accurate Temperatures
Temperature range (I THINK)50 TO 175 COULD BE MORE IN BOTH ASPECTS.
measures temperatures in both Fahrenheit and Celsius

Does it indicate soft ball and hard ball stages of candy?

if you click on the pics they will enlarge and if you scroll through them you can see in pic 5 and 6 plus others after that ,,that it does in fact have the hard ball, soft ball,plus hard crack,and soft crack as well as others
