Tracking is free here if it is a package. Being on a very limited income, I have to ship whatever way is cheapest for me to do so. It's either that or start charging for shipping. I really don't want to start doing that... : )

I can understand your financial plight; but if you ship rings via plain white envelope, the USPS machine oftentimes destroys them. When disputed, the seller loses the ring and their credits. I win a lot of rings and have had to dispute many times for said reason.

When I ship, I put rings into a small box and place them inside a bubble envelope.

Oh no doll, I didn't take it as negative. I more than welcome any and all information. When I ship any kind of jewelry it is wrapped in bubble wrap. and secured. I have never had any questions about how I ship certain things. There are some things I list however that doesn't require bubble wrap. I don't know about anywhere else, but here if I write "Please do not machine" it goes out as a package, which includes tracking. I just don't feel that every thing requires tracking.

I do value every thing you have told me. And thank you for letting me know.

Good explanation, but the postal service pays absolutely no attention to the non-machinable warning. If you must ship as stated, you can have the postal clerk hand stamp your shipment. That may help.

Knowing a few people who work in and with the Postal Service, I'm afraid you are so right. I do everything I can do to insure that all items are received by the winners in A1 shape. I must admit there have been a couple times when I have had to reship and/or return credits. Just as I have had to have items reshipped to me and/or credits returned to me as well.
I do the very best I can with what I have to deal with.
