Zippers and buckles work PERFECTLY! The leash is detachable so if you don't have a REALLY active kid, you can remove it and carry it for when you need it. Smoke and pet free home. The backpack is approximately 8" tall × 6" wide × 3 1/2 " deep straps fit a 2yr to 5yr old
