The listing, Savage Kantus bonus character skin - Gears of War 3 reward code - XBox 360 has ended.

Like a couple of other Listia members, I pre-orded Gears of War 3 from Amazon.com and received a code for a bonus character skin. After several afternoons trying to find out what this actually did, it became clear that this is a bonus item for multiplayer mode. I'm really only interested in the campaign, so this bonus item is up for grabs.

The code will be posted the same day the auction ends.

and i got the actual gow3 bundle off amazon and all they gave me was some character skin and a couple guns .. wtf. i want this thing man!

I believe you are correct, based on the forums I looked at earlier - but I can't use the code to be sure and still give it away later. When you start playing, you will have just a few human and locust skins for multiplayer matches. You will earn a few more by playing a game. A few are given away as promotional items. The rest are sold on XBox live for around $4 or $5 each.
