Nicotiana or flowering tobacco produce a profusion of fragrant, trumpet-shaped blooms which sit on a stem arising from a rosette of thick, velvety leaves. This old-fashioned open-pollinated species bears abundant branching sprays of sweetly perfumed flowers in shades of red to white. These are virtually maintenance free - no deadheading and seldom bothered by pests - all they need is water and sun. Plants produce fragrant tubular flowers all summer long. Height 3-4 feet.
