The listing, one touch ultra mini glucometer has ended.

One Touch UltraMini meter for blood glucose testing new in package. Includes brand new meter (color: cobalt blue) with battery included, Delica lancing device, and 10 Delica lancets in custom fit zipper case. This case is molded to the mini and will not fit any other meter. No test strips or control solution included. Comes with guide for meter and device, registration and warranty card. Just got this from my endocrinologist last week as my old onetouch was getting old but then my insurance changed and I can no longer get the strips. I use a generic prodigy brand talking meter now.

It all depends on what brand test strips her insurance will cover. All she has to do is call the One Touch manufacturer and they will do all the legwork of getting an Rx for her.

Very nice glucose terms for diabteics!! These are VERY costly and several insurance companies don't cover them!!! Very nice of you to offer this new one here!!!

Many of the brands will offer the meter for free in order to get you to spend $ on their test strips. This one retails anywhere from $20-$40 depending on where you get it, but it doesnt have all the bells and whistles that their other meters do. I got this for free as a replacement for my older UltraMini.

Medtronic offers some REALLY nice ones that need just the tiniest drop of blood. This one takes a standard blood sample.

Great for diabetics or really any first aid kit. Did you know that low or high blood sugar can cause fainting or seizures? If you know a child or adult who has frequent dizzy spells this is great to have on hand!

*warning bells!* There is really no such thing as pre-diabetic. That would be like being "a little bit pregnant" Alot of times doctors call a patient pre-diabetic when they either already are but could possible reverse it at such an early stage or arent diabetic at all, but have other health problems that a low-carb diet and regular exercise could cure. You need to see an endocrinologist, girl!
