Questions & Comments
Original
I have several of these old dolls. I have heard them called sleepy eyed dolls and souvenir dolls. I have some in good condition some of them need restrung, clothes hair etc.Id like to bid on these but dou think that you could do actual shiping cost the cheapest way to ship as i am in no rush. But the condition they are in the shipping cost is more than they are worth. I know that they are old but they were not made well and are not worth a lot. I just love the type of doll they are. I want to learn how to restring or put new rubber banding inside as well as try to find out what doll they are and fix the hair and clothes back as close to original as possible. They have doll doctorsthat actually charge to repair and fix certain things. Do you know any thing about these 2 dolls? Do you have any of the boxes? Do you collect any dolls other thiings? I have found a few in boxes but most f them have fell apart and need fixed. They made some similar that used to be on birthday cakes.I have 1 of those. I never got dolls much as a child. I remember 2 and they were given at Christmas years apart. I never saw a barbie until i was 12 and i never had one. Im only 48 but was a cotton farmers daughter up until my parents divorced. These little dolls just hold a special place in my heart and I want to keep them around. I have seen so many people who won't fool with them. Ive bought a bundle of these off ebay and they sent me all the bits and pieces. When I learn more about the repair and where to get parts I'll hopefully be able to good enough to repair them. I lost my daughter four years ago and have not been able to get into normal hobbies so I believe that this is the most interesting thing that I have encountered and I think I will enjoy it as well as it being therapeutic. Sorry so long winded. God bless.
