2008. Classics is actually a series done in homage to the G1 series. What you are thinking about is re-issues. Like the commemorative series or the encore series.

Technically, Galvatron here was released as part of the 2008 Transformers: Universe line, which continued both themes of the 2003 'Universe' line and the Classics line from 2006, and later became the Generations line.
