I have been growing irises for over 15 years with no issues.

Very hardy perennials - I am at Zone 3/4. Doubles annually.

NOTE** Bearded irises do require a cold period for blooming, so it may be unsuitable for areas such as South Florida and Texas and coastal regions.

Space at least 4 -12 inches apart. Plant with some rhizomes (bulb) showing for flowering to occur. See picture.
