The listing, Marquise Gemstones!! 7 Peridot, 4 Garnets, 1 Citrine, 1 Amethysts!! + 1 oval Garnet = 14 Gems has ended.

***** 3 Day Auction *****

While I love every gemstone, I like marquise cut faceted gemstones a little less than all the others!

My loss, your gain!!

Gemstones were won by me from a Listia auction by the fabulous rachelboe!!

7 Peridot,
4 Garnets,
1 Citrine,
1 Amethysts
+ 1 oval Garnet
Total of 14 Gems!!!

I don't know their weight or size, cause I don't have the equipment to measure. So I threw the dime in the picture.

Photographs just don't do the stones justice! Pretty shiny gemstones!!

Yep. This is the darkest of the amethysts that I will be auctioning. I have paler colored amy's that I may put up for auction.

Just a little something I learned from eBay. Make one's auctions end about 6 PM, will get more bids that way. Toodle Doo Barbie Doll. I'm glad you're too far away to give me such a smack for your new nickname, LOL.

eBay didn't say which time zone but, as we know, the difference is only 3 hours from coast to coast so perhaps we should make the ending at 6 PM based on the median time for the U.S., if you know what I mean, That would probably be Central Time unless I'm forgetting one of the time zones. What do you think?

You forgot Mountain time zone. Most people do!!

Where in Washington is Allyn? Next year sometime I should do a road trip, pick up Rachel in Redding and then we could both descend on you. Oooooouuuuu... I'm in southern Californai, Hemet, about half-way between Los Angeles and Palm Springs.

I am in the middle of a forest, next to one of puget sounds inlets. Somewhere between nowhere.next to nothing, in the land of gun carrying dog lovers. Not that there is anything wrong with it.... just not where I wanna be.

Northwest of Olympia, south of Bremerton. Almost due west of Tacoma, if you could drive straight across Puget Sound.

There is a wonderful rock/gem shop in Shelton, which is just half an hour away!

I didn't forget Mountain Time but as it isn't in the middle of our country I didn't mention it. As central time must be pretty much in the middle or why would it be called 'central', and it is two hours ahead of us, I guess we should figure the 5-6 o'clock auction ending time at 3-4 o'clock to get in that range eBay says is most optimum for ending an auction to get the most bids. Every time I list an auction I forget about that, dagblastit! This auction ends tomorrow morning and there are eleven people watching it.....uh oh. I wrote you about 12:30 AM the night before last and Listia must have been doing some site work because it would not 'send'. Every time I clicked on send over about ten minutes I got a message from Listia telling me to try again in a few seconds. I'll get to it again now.

I know how you feel, about nobody watching. I have one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life up for bid right now and no bids yet, but it's a 10 day auction and as I recall, I listed it just yesterday... I've just bid every credit I have on this auction and it's a LOT so I hope others don't run the bids up and cost me all I have! It will be interesting to see if the bids go as high for a 3 day auction as they do for a 7 day auction. I'm not totally selfish (Just kidding. I work at being unselfish and sometimes manage it!) so I hope you get as many credits as you want. I intended to email you tonight in response to your last email to me, but here it is the wee hours already and I'm really beat so I'll do it tomorrow. Nothing earth shattering for sure, probably not even interesting to anyone but me, LOL.

As soon as I commented about no one watching, my auctions got really busy!! I know that auctions don't have much action until the very last day.

I've always liked the emerald cut too, my first choice until the last few years, but now faceting has gotten so good, even intricate, so it's hard for me to decide which cut I love most. Do you ever watch jewelry shows on QVC and HSN or the Gems en Vogue II shows on ShopNBC? My favorite is Gems en Vogue II, the old world, even medieval look I love.
