Description

The listing, Something different: Corkscrew rush seeds has ended.

Don't a lot of these seed auctions seem the same after awhile? Well, here's something you don't see every day:

Corkscrew rush.

This is an awesome little plant with tons of character! It's a well-behaved evergreen grass with spectacular spiral stems. It likes a lot of water, is even suitable to plant along a pond or water garden. But if you keep it in your yard, as long as you don't let it dry out, it will be fine. I keep one by my leaky spigot in my yard, so when I use my hose, it gets a little drink. And I keep one on my deck in a plastic pot with holes inside another ceramic planter with no holes (so the water pools in there and keeps it wet). Easy care, deer resistant.

Some specifics:
Height: 12-18 inches
Spacing: 9-12 inches
Hardiness zone: 4-10
Likes Full Sun to partial shade

This plant is very unique. You will be captivated by the untamed mass of tangled spirals! The twisted stems add interesting contrast to your landscape. It's also useful for dried floral arrangements as a dramatic background piece.

Thanks for looking. Auction is for 15 tiny seeds.

How long does this take to germinate? And what type of soil does it do best in?

Hi, thanks for asking. 21-28 days for germination at 60-65 degrees. This plant does not have a soil requirements, just that it's not too dry.
