I actually did bathroom sets that had a pair of army boots and it said "My mommy/daddy wears combat boots".....I live near Ft. Bragg and people loved them.....also did onesies, bibs and t-shirts. I wanted to get the photo program for my Huskystar that allows you to scan a picture and embroider it. I wanted to do like family pictures and put them on t-shirts for the soldiers.....or put them on pillow cases.

If you don't win this auction, I'm making more Angry Bird hats....the whole collection. I can either do a private auction for you or just list them and let you know.

I love reading all the comments. It's like a book. Wow, very cool how you worked out the prayer shawls for dr visits. My hubby is fighting cancer and we have many dr. visits. I am also doing hats. Not nearly as nice as yours, but just the same hats. I love LIstia. It gives me a reason to do something with my time while I sit at the dr. office. Also, I like to give. Good for you in your gifting on LIstia. We need people like you in this world.

It is like reading a book isn't it?!?!? lol I'm very lucky with my dr. She left my original dr.'s office to open her own practice...lost track of her for a few months, then her office called because of a refill order...I was soooo glad to find out she'd opened her own office. She's very down to earth and truly a guardian angel. I was always crocheting something when I went for my visits and she was always praising my work. I made an afghan for her for Christmas and it snowballed from there! lol

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I hope with today's technologies, he will fight it with a vengeance!!! I LOVE your hats! I was looking at the Ladybug hat for my granddaughter but didn't have enough credits (I use them as soon as I get them! lol). I spend WAY too much time on here, but it's so much fun and I get to meet sooooo many interesting and talented people!

I will be keeping both you and your husband in my prayers! Godspeed! <3

Yes, it's an adult size....but I can make whatever size is needed. Thank you, fanned you also! Yes, all the embroidery thread is gone :-( I miss it, but desperate times call for desperate measures! I had a Husquvarna Viking EM10..... I LOVED it! Also sold my sewing machine, but only because I inherited my grandmother's Singer Slantomatic......I also have a 2 y/o granddaughter that I babysit daily so she takes up a LOT of my new found time! lol

Yes, I LOVE to crochet! I've been making prayer shawls for my dr. (when my husband lost his job and insurance, she asked me to make prayer shawls to give to her patients in lieu of an office visit payment). I also make afghans, headbands with barrettes, and am going to start making quilted Christmas ornaments. I need to keep busy when my granddaughter isn't here! lol

I was making bathroom 'sets' for gifts....I'd embroider on a roll of toilet paper, a hand towel and then on a 5 x 7 piece of fabric and frame it, all with the same design on it. The people I gave it to, LOVED it! I miss my machine. Maybe one day I'll be able to get another one.

Aren't grandchildren great?!?!?!? I LOVE that I can babysit mine every day! She NEVER fails to put a smile on my face.
